How To Make Your Bed For Summer
Summer is (almost) here - it's time to give your bed a makeover! It's the season to lighten things up and create a more comfortable, cool and relaxed sleeping experience. One that will have you rested and ready to enjoy sun and fun all season long.
1. SWAP BEDDING

Once summer rolls around it’s time to freshen things up a bit. Swap out the flannel and feather bedding for naturally cooling (and hypoallergenic) linen. Our stonewashed, French linen is super soft, durable and fully washable. It’s simply the best fabric to sleep in during the warmer months, and offers pure comfort, seasonal practicality and classic style.
2. REMOVE LAYERS

Hot summer nights means it's time to throw the bedspread, duvet cover and throw blankets in storage. Choosing items like our ruffled linen coverlets are a great alternative, especially if you still like to wrap yourself up in something in the summertime. It's the perfect way to keep your decor style cozy, while adding fresh summer textiles to your bed.
3. ADD SOME NEW DECOR

You may have to remove layers in the summer, but that doesn't mean you can’t still make your bed with style! Grab some new pillows, add a linen bed scarf and make a lavender satchel for under your pillow as a calming sleep aid. It's the season of our favorite scent - and the perfect way to ease into a cool, comfortable nights sleep.
4. KEEP IT LIGHT

You want to keep your layers and fabrics light and breathable, but you also want to keep your color choices light and breezy. White is always a classic summer go-to, but we love a stone grey, duck egg blue or sea foam green to bring a little rustic summer and blue sky touch inside the bedroom. And you can never go wrong with stripes for summer! Don’t be afraid to add a few patterns or floral accents as well.
