Interior Chatter — linen slip cover

The Beginners Guide To Seat Covers: Simple Ways to Slip Into Linen!

The Beginners Guide To Seat Covers: Simple Ways to Slip Into Linen!

Slip covers are not only our specialty, but also our first love! When we started this little engine that could, our ruffled linen slip covers quickly became our signature product. We discovered what our customers wanted along the way and how to create timeless pieces for any home.

But where to begin when decorating? Even if you don't have a large dining room, or have a mix of open-back and closed-back seating, there's always a space for a little romantic, shabby chic, ruffled linen love!

    Kitchen & Dining

The obvious first choice - the kitchen and dining room. The kitchen and dining room always offer a few fun ways to use our slip covers, and the best part - no insert necessary! If you prefer a little more padding than your chairs provide, simply lay our covers on top of your cushion of choice. We find this to be much more practical, especially when there's food involved. They're quickly removable and machine washable, and are the perfect touch for island seating, small window seats or large tables.

    Porch & Patio

We have to admit, as much as we love linen slip covers indoors, our favorite season for them is the warmer months! Summertime perfection is sitting on our back patio and porch, with our pups and a glass of vino (or the beach, but we take what we can get). From front porch rockers, to iron patio chairs, a bit of ruffled linen adds comfort and vintage charm to any outdoor space.

    Stool & Desk

One of the less likely spots you may find our linen slip covers is in the office (or at the vanity)! So often we come across friends that want to add a little comfort to their small spaces, but don't have much to work with. Throw a simple linen slip cover on your stool or chair and voila! You've completely changed the tone (and comfort level) of your area.

    Garden & Cabin

And last, but never least, our gardens are not complete without a cozy place to sit and enjoy a cup of tea (or a fresh cocktail). It may not be the first place you think of to decorate a table, but trust us when we say creating a garden sitting area will change your life. Get off the porch and patio and surround yourself with the scents and colors of the garden! Seaside or backyard cabins offer the same - a quaint, cottage style space for a touch of ruffled, romantic goodness.
